Working bee around the Majura dams (17 February 2008)

Join Friends of Mt Majura for a morning tea and a working bee at the Majura dams.

When: Sunday, 17 February 2008, from 8.30am onwards
Where: meet at the lower dam off Mackenzie Street nature park entrance, Hackett
Bring & Wear: sun protection, sturdy boots, and body covering clothing; all equipment will be provided
What: control of woody weeds and of erosion around the lower Majura dam

Enquiries: ph 6247 7515 or e-mail admin@majura.org

Come early for a cuppa and a briefing of the work. We will tackle briar roses and other the woody weeds that grow around the dams. The coir erosion matting at the lower dam requires fastening with more pegs and timber logs, and we will collect seeds of Clustered Everlastings. Feel free to choose your pet activity.
