Woody Weeds Working Party and Morning Tea (15 April 2007)

We will start our last woody weeds hunt in this season with morning tea – an opportunity for a chat before we tackle the serious business. Come along if you have some time to spare

When: Sunday, 15 April 2007
Morning Tea starts at 9.00am
Weed Hunt from 9.30am onwards
Where: meet at the fire trail behind Mackenzie Street opposite Hull Place; see map for meeting point and park access.
Bring: sun protection, sturdy boots, and full body covering clothing; all equipment will be provided.
Enquires: ph 6247 7515 or e-mail admin@majura.org

We will remove woody shrubs that are not native to the area using the search-and-destroy method.

Novice weeders are encouraged to be early for an induction on target weeds and the save handling of equipment.

The control of woody weeds is a valuable contribution to maintain and enhance the values of our local nature reserve Mount Majura.
