Congratulations to the Friends of Mount Majura (FoMM) on winning the Landcare 2021 Group Award.
Jeannine Fromholtz of the Molonglo Conservation Group presented the award to FoMM volunteers at the Monday’s @ The Fair session on 28th March 2022. Minister for the Environment, Rebecca Vassarotti, who helped to plant local daisies and shrubs on National Tree Day community planting events at The Fair, attended the ceremony together with a group of Taiwanese guest students who got busy hand-weeding St Johns Wort after indulging in delicious zucchini cake.
Thank you to the ACT Landcare and to the Molonglo Conservation Group for the nomination and indeed a big Thank You to hundreds of caring volunteers whose outstanding work over years helped to improve Mt Majura’s grassy woodlands.
