Spotlight Walk 22 October 2010

When: Friday, 22 October, 2010, 6.45 pm – 8:45 pm
Where:
Meet at the Hackett reservoir off Rivett / French Streets (view this map)
Bring:
Sturdy shoes, warm clothes, torch and binoculars, if you have them.
The walk is free, however a gold coin donation to support volunteer work in the nature reserve would be much appreciated.

Do you wonder what lurks in the dark on the mountain? Join the Friends of Mount Majura and a ranger of Parks, Conservation and Lands for a guided spotlight walk to get up close with Mount Majura’s furred and feathered nocturnal residents. There will be spotlights to scan the trees, but participants are advised to bring their own torch to scan the ground – if only to see where you’re going. Prepare to quietly walk, watch and listen.

The walk commences about half an hour before sunset at 6.45 pm and will run for approximately two hours.

Places are limited and bookings are essential at admin@majura.org or 62477515.

The walk will be postponed to Friday 29 October, 7.00pm,  same place if it is raining on the day.
